Toyota Soarer (Z30): import and eligibility guide
The Soarer was Toyota's Japanese-market personal luxury coupe. The Z30 generation shares its platform with the first-generation Lexus SC, but the Soarer is right-hand drive and was never sold new in the US.

Is the Toyota Soarer legal to import to the US?
The Z30 Soarer was built from 1991 to 2000, so every Z30 is now more than 25 years old, qualifies under the age exemption, and clears the 21-year EPA threshold, which applies only to vehicles in their original configuration, not modified from the manufacturer's original design. The earlier Z10 and Z20 cars are long eligible.
An older car is not automatically a trouble-free one, so confirm the build date and check for rust and deferred maintenance before you buy.

What it costs to land a Soarer
